As you know we've been hard at work with the Darkside location additions to Prowling. We're pleased to announce that we'll be releasing this portion soon, though we've made some changes to our release plans.
Originally we had intended to launch all of Prowling 2/2 at once. Yet once we entered into the art and play-testing portions the sheer scope of the project became apparent. Not wanting to keep you waiting any longer we've decided to release Prowling 2/2 incrementally—giving you a new location as we complete each one.
What this means is our first launch will be the location of Aerothine (a city in Shade). In prowling Aerothine you'll get a taste of what's to come with the remaining locations. Aerothine is complete with reduced positive singles, no negative singles and (5) multiples. Of those multiples (3) are linear prowling stories, including a Legendary adventure featuring Lillith, and (2) are of the new exploration multiple variety.
Exploration multiples will certainly take you some time to adjust to, as they break the rules you've come to know in Prowling. They'll offer you dozens of locations and hundreds of decisions within a single multiple to search for secrets, loot, and bosses. They will also allow you the ability to travel to and fro various locations within the multiple at your whim, all on a single Prowl/Instinct Point.
This opens the door for you to memorize your favorite places to farm for any of the new powers and collectables we've added and is a huge return for a single prowl! We have a feeling Exploration Multiples will absolutely end up being your favorite, not only in Aerothine, but in all the locations as you experience them!
Across all of Aerothine, there's a total of (6) new Titan class bosses, (1) Legendary, and 37 new Fledgling - Champion bosses whose heads are awaiting your collection... along with loads of new achievements, collectables and power rewards!
What the incremental release means for Prowling 2/2 is that once we've launched Aerothine, we'll be releasing the remaining locations as we complete the art and play-testing. They will be released in order after Aerothine, starting with The Soils, then Crim, Blackwell, and finally the Wirelands.
Darkside locations are built to open simultaneously using (4) Minute Essence fused into Full Essence. This means you won't have to collect anything out of the ordinary to open a new location when it's launched. It does mean you'll see locked areas in the Darkside until those locations are finished.
Ultimately you'll be waiting just a little longer to fuse any achievement which requires items from all locations. But to help balance that aspect we have plenty of new collectables across the board, some which drop across all locations and some only from exploration multiples. The upsides are huge though, as you'll have a firm understanding of how the new Exploration Multiples work, how all of the new bosses reward and where to find them, and a good appreciation for the amount of lore present in the Darkside realm.
As we're currently in the last portion of play-testing, very soon we'll be releasing the new Patch Notes and offering a launch date. Keep your eyes peeled for it!

We'll be back with more sooner than you think. See you then!
