Darkside Character Glossary

The Darkside is a separate realm unto itself, originally brimming with it's own supernatural life. However, the discovery and eventual habitation of only vampires has laid claim to its becoming the one true world of vampire.

There have been some few outsiders who have found and accessed our world through one means or another... and in doing so have etched their names into our collective minds. This glossary aims to catalog the entirety of all known to us, realm-wide, through infamy, accident, or notoriety. Below shall be detailed their names and an overview of their history.

 Abominus Stryxx

Species: Vampire
Bloodline: Varaco
Association: Madame Verlaine / Cherry Wight
First Appeared: Obscura Collectus

Overview:
Previous Council informant, genius-level talent in forging and invention, highly skilled in the unliving sciences, expert con-man, master of disguise, and extremely proficient in all forms of his bloodline strengths. His dastardly mehcanations have time and time again proven to be of the deadliest variety to vampirekind.

Currently wanted, Unliving or Killed, for involvement in various crimes against the unlife. Suspected of recent involvement in the creation and distribution of tainted goods resulting in the deaths of Darkside vampire.

 Andilaveris

Species: Vampire
Bloodline: N/A
Association: Lord / Progenitor / Dark Trinity
Master Discipline: Supernatural
First Appeared: Darkside Founder

Overview:
As one of the Dark Trinity, little is known about the lord Andilaveris. He exhibits unparalleled mastery over the supernatural, sharp cunning, and deep yearning for power. An unmatchable opponent, Andilaveris' goals are usually ego-driven. He revels in discord and professes constantly his philosophical views on attaining purity through chaos.

There are those who say he has lost his mind and should be destroyed, more who preach that his ego will inevitably force him to vanish in shame, while others yet are convinced he will one day attain the throne he seeks as ruler of all things on the Darkside.

Synesthetically, Andilaveris is associated to the color of bright amber.

The limits to Andilaveris' powers are unknown, though he has proven an abundant gift for supernatural mastery. He also has an extremely high intellectual aptitude, and has previously had mental interaction with the entire vampire population.

 Ankou

Species: Specter
Association: Death, Minions
First Appeared: Ankou Assault

Overview:
The Ankou are mistaken for all variety of things in the Human Realm. They are sometimes described as a shadow that looks like a man with an old hat and a scythe, often atop a cart for collecting the dead. Others say they wear a black robe with massive hoods that conceal their faces. Others yet claim that they are the first children of Adam and Eve.

What they are in truth are fallen mortals, transformed by death into his image. By power imbued by him, they can render any being to ash with a single touch. They can overtake any body and imitate their host, using them to Death's whims, like puppets.

Because they feel nothing they are far wickeder than vampire. Their supernatural creation makes them more agile and faster. Because they are connected to one another through Death's mind, their strategies can quickly turn from individual confrontations to group confrontations.

Ankou are formidable opponents. The only way to dispatch an ankou is with their own weapon, and to claim one is no easy task. However with the aid of necromagical spells and idols, at least any opponent of an ankou may be able to distract or disorientate them.

 Caine

Species: Vampire
Bloodline: N/A
Association: Lord / Progenitor / Dark Trinity
Master Discipline: Physical
First Appeared: Darkside Founder

Overview:
While he has never confirmed the accounts of him found in biblical stories, many surmise them to be a close retelling of the truth. Filled with an unprecedented amount of power, the fury of Caine has existed through centuries demanding respect for his vampire royalty. He is cruel, forthright, and always ready for war.

He presides over all things as only a king of darkness could: as though all were his. This is not wishful thinking as he truly is the father of murder and purveyor of all things born to night. There are none outside of the Dark Trinity powerful enough to challenge him.

Synesthetically, Caine is associated to the color of crimson.

The limits to Caine's powers are unknown, though Andilaveris has exposed several tactics, powers, and power-techniques that exemplify a fraction of his immense battle prowess. While his mental powers are unknown, he has previously had mental interaction with the entire vampire population, hinting at a much larger power set than generally assumed.

 Council

Species: Vampire(s)
Bloodline: Various
Association: Darkside Conciliary Embodiment, Representatives of the Darkside Realm
First Appeared: Exact Date Unknown

Overview:
During the fabled 1st War, the treachery of the Elders marked the beginning of the end for vampirekind within the Human Realm, and set forth the destructive path of the Great Purge. Though even after the destruction of the Elders many vampire wandered directionless, and the actions of those again attracted the attentions of humankind.

To avoid another purge, the Darkside Conciliary Embodiment (or The Council) was formed. Their largest goal is to safeguard all vampire, and in doing so have taken up authority over nearly all vampiric matters. To prevent a repeat of the Elder's past actions, they have forever erased their own identities from everyone but themselves... choosing to live in complete secrecy for all of eternity.

Because of their supreme importance in keeping order through politics, they have isolated themselves to Darkwatch Isle, at the southern-most end of Maiden's Casket. There they have constructed a massive, impenetrable sanctum known as the Great Lyceum.

Within the walls of the Lyceum are the Royal Conciliary Guard, who are the small army of deadly assassins that have been chosen by the council to protect them at all costs. The Council communicates from the Lyceum via their own Special Envoy to any and all necessary channels.

Even through their physical absence from any situations, they are surprisingly vocal in almost all political affairs, and have intricate intelligence everywhere within the realm and those outside of it.

It is uncertain how many vampire reside upon the Council, and as such knowing their inner-workings is impossible. Even so, they have continued to hold true to their word and from them we celebrate the nights of our unlife successfully.

 Conciliary Guard

Species: Vampire(s)
Bloodline: Various
Association: Conciliary Embodiment, Royal Guards
First Appeared: Exact Date Unknown

Overview:
The Royal Conciliary Guard are a group of elite vampire assassins who are hand picked and employed by the Council to protect them at all costs. Conciliary Guard are generally either high-ranking former militia members or or combat prodigies culled form the militia training grounds. They are all generally the same height and build, though their bloodlines are varied.

The guards always wear light battle armor draped in reddish, hooded robes, with their faces covered by a half-mask to prevent any individuality from appearing. The anonymity is not only a nod to the Council's anonymity but also offers the tactical advantage of being unable to target one based on visual appearance.

Where the militia is filled with the Darkside's greatest warriors, the Conciliary Guard is filled the Darksides most stealthy and lethal killers. They have been known to dispatch an enemy faster than any have ever known. Likewise, while they rarely use their bloodline powers, its apparent that they receive special training and private abilities that make them more powerful than the average vampire.

It is rare to see Conciliary guard outside of the Lyceum in full dress, though one may confidently assume that any guard seen outside of Darkwatch Isle is on an extremely important mission where the Council's known involvement is necessary.

It has been rumored that any number of Conciliary Guard accompany the Council's Special Envoy at all times, disguised as part of their group. This has led to public speculation of the possibility that Special Envoy and Conciliary Guard are interchangeable.

 Conciliary Special Envoy

Species: Vampire(s)
Bloodline: Various
Association: Conciliary Embodiment, Special Royal Envoys
First Appeared: Exact Date Unknown

Overview:
Built up of various bloodlines and individuals, Conciliary Special Envoy are the public representatives of the Council. They speak for the Council at every instance and at times have been known to answer for or make decisions on behalf of them. While the Special Envoy is the most seen by the public, who they are and the reasons for their being chosen for such a great responsibility remain unknown.

Special Envoy usually appear by appointment (or previous announcement), but have been known to make unplanned appearances. Because they are the Council's eyes, ears, and mouthpieces, they are always regarded in the highest esteem. This also makes them high-priority targets for those who stand against the Council or the unlife.

It is because of this it is rumored that any number of Conciliary Guard accompany the Council's Special Envoy at all times, disguised as part of their group. This has led to public speculation of the possibility that Special Envoy and Conciliary Guard are interchangeable. However there are any number of others speculating that the Special Envoy is in fact the Council members themselves.

 Death

Species: Unknown
Association: Unknown
First Appeared: N/A

Overview:
Death falls upon the world of the mortal with a fiery touch, deciding the lifespan of every man, woman, child, creature and thing. He waits not in light or shadow, but in all places. Choosing. Counting. Taking. For these reasons and by every account, the human realm he claims as his own.

He is eternal, and omnipotent within his domain. Because this is his sole purpose for existence, he has a natural hatred for vampire. The unliving mock him by stealing away his power over man and stripping away the souls that belong to him. Worse yet, they walk in eternity alongside him.

He is capable of unimaginable feats, yet no matter how powerful Death is, and for reasons unknown, he has no dominion over existence within the borders of the Darkside realm. Even so he is capable of entering it and remains unfathomably powerful even without deciding the fate of one's existence here. Twice he has come to the Darkside (in different forms) and has littered his ravaging hatred across our lands.

It is doubtful that we have seen the last of him and his vengeance!

 Entity

Species: Unknown
Association: Darkside Realm, Original Inhabitant
First Appeared: Forgotten Fields

Overview:
First discovered in the heart of the Forgotten Fields, the supernatural force known only as "the Entity" is likely as old as the Darkside itself. It made itself immediately known to the Darkside's first inhabitants by exhibiting poltergeist-like activity on the largest scale ever known.

In our more recent history the Entity overtook an ancient set of monuments on the continent of Midhaven, embodying them with its own life-force and marching them through the lands. While we were able to disembody it from the statuary it possessed, there was no conclusive evidence that the Entity was defeated.

Recent research has hinted that its true home may be within the Forest of Sorrows.

 Erebus Horne

Species: Vampire
Bloodline: Gayal
Association: Terror Troupe Amusement Co., Trumpet of Darkness, Grand Showman, Ringmaster Extraordinaire, Unitary Commission Seat Elect for Bane
First Appeared: Battle Royal

Overview:
Appearing from virtually nowhere, Erebus Horne's first contact was made by using his immense psychic powers to contact the entire Darkside at once to announce the coming of his great show, the Battle Royal.

His personality is flamboyant and witty, marked by a dry and over-the-top humor. remarkably self-aware, he openly claims himself a genius with the airs of an idiot. Based on the tense of his showmanship, his tastes appear to range from the lavish to the bizarre.

His identity is shrouded in mystery and is perhaps magnified by the anonymity of the ebony mask he wears. While he's hinted at being well-to-do politician who moonlights as a gangster-assassin, the truth to his claims is impossible to know. Regardless of his mysteries, he's proven that his psychic powers are in the top percentile of all Gayal.

He and his six-vampire team of even numbered Gayal and Varaco, the Terror Troupe, have taken charge of the Battle Royal. The Battle Royal is a warfare tournament that takes place across the realm, with combatants transformed by psychic illusion into the beings of Horne's creation, while his troupe spreads environmental mayhem across the lands.

After the 7th Groundwars in 2017, Erebus won against the South and the West in a battle over ownership of the continent of Bane. To everyone's dismay, he now acts as seat elect of Bane.

 Four Horsemen

Species: Unknown
Association: Unknown
First Appeared: Pummel the Prophecy

Overview:
The biblical prophecy known as Revlations was discovered to come to fruition in the Human Realm at the end of 2011. Panic tore through the denizens of the Darkside at the very real notion that their entire food-source could be wiped out.

The Council sanctioned an immediate Deadfall and sent all available Darksiders to war with the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, hoping their defeat would stay the coming prophecy and save their own existence in the process.

While the Horsemen were eventually defeated, they were not destroyed. It is rumored that the Deadfall sanction merely postponed the inevitable and that they will ride again at their whim.

 General Miles Eiron

Species: Vampire
Bloodline: Nosferato
Association: Darkside Militia, Appointed General, Unitary Commission Seat Elect for the Southern Borders
First Appeared: Ground Wars: Opposition

Overview:
Appointed since the Darkside's beginning by Caine himself, Miles Eiron, elder childe of Senex, holds command of the entire Darkside Militia. A fierce, decisive, and stony Nosferato, general Eiron bears no interest in anything outside of the Militia.

While his aspiration was always to lead the militia, his eternal appointment as General ultimately turned his dream into a nightmare. His position while granted amiably at first, later become forced upon him by Caine. Eiron's lineage was destroyed, leaving him the sole vampire of his line... with the threat of complete destruction should he ever fail in his duties again.

Therefore Eiron takes no chances in his role. His entire unlife depends on the militia's success and he will perform any strategy necessary to ensure it. As such, Eiron is possibly the Darkside's most well-known combatant.

 Harold Banks

Species: Vampire
Bloodline: Muroni
Association: Hemoglobal, Officer of High Finance Banking
First Appeared: Exact Date Unknown

Overview:
Harold Banks is the Officer of High Financing at the realm's most trusted banking enterprise, Hemoglobal. He has been with Hemoglobal since its doors first opened to the public in the Darkside's early times. He began his career as a simple Entrance Host, but moved up quickly due to his egregious talent with handling both numbers and clients with excellence.

Mr. Banks now holds the highest rank within Hemoglobal, officiating all inestimable transactions by only the most important of clients. His personality is miserly and formal, yet he contradicts this by exhibiting an unusual amount of charm for a vampire. His humor is dry and often self-deprecating, seen most especially in his penchant for calling everyone "master".

 Hieronymus Creel

Species: Vampire
Bloodline: Gayal
Association: Scientific Investigatons Unit, The Council
First Appeared: Obscura Collectus

Overview:
Head Investigator for the Darkside's SIU, Creel is in charge of all investigations. Almost always the first into the field, he is the Darkside's version of Sherlock Holmes, utlizing his massive intellect to combine deductive reasoning and his mastery over his Gayal powers to uncover the solution to nearly any problem.

As well as a prominent investigator, Creel is alsso an accomplished scientist who has given the Darkside many discoveries, inventions, and revelations about our realm. He is perhaps the most well known for his discovery of Dark Essence and how its properties are tied to vampirekind.

th_imperia1.png Imperia

Species: Vampire
Bloodline: Varaco
Association: Darkside Militia, Hatewarden to General Eiron
First Appeared: Battle Royal: Battle of the Exes

Overview:
Imperia has been friend and confidante to Miles Eirion since his earliest nights. When Eiron was appointed by Caine as General of the Darkside Militia, Imperia was invited to work at his side. During the Battle of the Exiles, Imperia tried and failed in keeping the General's highest militia band, Eiron's Arm, from committing a mutiny which resulted in the General's severe punishment by Caine.

However, her loyal actions did not go unnoticed by the General. When Eiron's Arm was barred from the militia, Imperia alone was given their rank and named Hatewarden of the Darkside Militia. Standing as second in command to the General, Imperia remains a strong-willed and fierce warrior, an outstanding strategist, and a competent leader in Eiron's stead.

When in times of doubt or question it is to Imperia that Eiron turns for advice. Many Militia say it is only she who truly knows the General; and should the night come that he falls in battle, Imperia would be the only vampire worthy to lead their pledge to protect the realm.

 King Oberon

Species: Faery
Association: King of the Fae Realm
First Appeared: Dark vs Light

Overview:
Husband to Titania, the Faery Queen, King Oberon has helped rule the fae since the beginning of all. As the fae are known keepers of light and magic, to have a poor disposition toward vampires is natural—yet Oberon took this to a whole new level when he amassed his faery armies and began a surprise march toward the Darkside Realm.

The war was brief, with Darksiders emerging triumphant and Oberon's armies significantly diminished. It was said that his hand was taken during the battle, touted as a victory trophy, and soon after was used to empower the owner.

Titania certainly has been said to have plans to retaliate for the deformation of Oberon and the massive loss of fae life, but has yet to bring her wrath back to our realm.

 Knights of Seth

Species: Human
Association: Order of Seth, Knights
First Appeared: Siege of Slayers

Overview:
In his mortal life, Caine shared brotherhood with one named Seth. This third son of Eve is attributed to having fathered all humans, giving them their mortal lives. Those of Sethian lineage are said to have a great divinity within them that offers great power over darkness.

So it was in the ancient times, not long after Seth's demise, his direct descendants formed a secret order - one with the sole purpose of extinguishing supernatural kind—especially vampire. This Ordo Equester Sethiani (The Knights of Seth) live on into now.

The Knights are slayers of the purest heart and of the most blessed constitution. They are not immortal but they bear the traits of Seth, living upwards of 900 years. They have holy strength and, thanks to their long lives, also have a cunning equal to vampire. Where a vampire would use their dark powers, Knights of Seth would use magnificent holy weapons solely meant for the destruction of the unholy.

If you are a vampire, fear them above all other slayers!

Species: Vampire

Lila is a classy, sage, and cunning vampire, who blends old school mentality with forward thinking. As such her presence as leader of Maiden's Casket appeals to many vampire across the realm. Though her calculating ways have earned her the nickname of the Iron Maiden, she is well loved by most.

Her intense leadership garnered Maiden's Casket a win against the South, procuring half of General Eiron's Militia to bolster her own Maiden's Army. Universally known as the Mother of Temptation, Lillith's mastery of the mental arts (especially seduction) is unparalleled to any throughout vampire history. She has existed since the first Earth Realm beings. In that time she has developed a cold, playful humor, a cruel disregard for weakness, a taste for the lavish, and is easily bored by most interactions.

Synesthetically, Lillith is associated to the color of deep purple.

The limits to Lillith's powers are unknown, though she has proven an abundant gift for shape-shifting (or possibly glamouring) her appearance, as well as mental interaction with the entire vampire population.

In her passion to unite the hardest warriors of the Darkside with the realm's militia, she challenged them at head and set off the Shadowfall Ground Wars. She now uses her position and strategies to help align all continental representatives to the singular goal of keeping the Darkisde free from harm and injustice.

 Necromancer

Species: Vampire
Bloodline: Unknown
Association: Society of Necromagery, Grand Necromage
First Appeared: BloodRites

Overview:
Long ago the Necromancer was one of a select group of necromages who practiced the rare and powerful art of vampiric magic. During the Great Purge he was forced to flee into hiding. For an unknown amount of time he buried himself deep in the earth of a hidden valley.

An immense focus of dark essence called to him from his slumber. Following the essence to the Darkside, he saw a realm rich with vampire. With so much dark essence at his disposal he realized now could be the time that Necromagery sees its rightful rise amongst the vampire population.

The Necromancer's personality is difficult to discern. He speaks as though his mind is present in a world separate from ours, yet he never loses his focus on those with whom he speaks. While his zen-like presence makes it easy to assume he is kind, his ancient vampiric nature sparks easily.

Those who have been in his presence have claimed to feel an uneasy weight surrounding them. Many speculate that the Necromancer's great power is sentient and the feeling is in fact his power searching out the essence from within the vampire he's near.

The extent of the Necromancer's power is unknown, though it's been proven that his skills as a Varaco help to augment his necroalchemy. It should also be noted that while necroalchemy is the Necromancer's primary trade through the Darkside, it's only a tiny subset of Necromagic.

In actuality, Necromagic spans an indeterminable variety of power-sources that bleed through from every vampiric discipline, an unfathomable amount from the wells of the supernatural, and from many more that are completely unknown to any but the Necromancer himself.

For more, see our article History of the Necromancer

 Necroreapers

Species: Original: None / Hybridized: Vampire
Bloodline: N/A
Association: Grand Necromage
First Appeared: Necroreaping

Overview:
A soulless creation of the Necromancer, invented to assist him in gathering supplies for his necromagical experiments. Originally they were mere empty robes with the symbol of necromagic scrawled upon them, and brought to existence by necromagic. This variety of necroreaper summons up dark essence to give them animation and wit. They are simple but fierce creatures, controlled by the mind of the Necromancer. Necroreapers search only for the items needed and stop at absolutely nothing to find them. They let no obstacle stand in their path, and work ceaselessly to collect.

Though with a powerful new spell formulation, another hybridized version was created by the Necromancer. This form of necroreaper is in fact a vampire beneath the enchanted necroreaper robes. The robes are spellbound to the vampire during the process, leaving the vampire to be willed in the exact manner as the originals. Ultimately the role of the hybridized necroreaper is the same, though with the instincts and powers of the vampire they are incredibly more efficient in their duties.

The lifespan of a hybridized necroreaper is limited to only two nights, as this is as long as the Necromancer can sustain his magic and mind control. Thanks to the Necromancer's mastery over his power, there are no adverse side or after effects for vampires who go under this transformation.

 Norman

Species: Vampire-Imp
Bloodline: Nosferatutu
Association: Troublemaker
First Appeared: Unknown

Overview:
Everything about Norman's  origins are shrouded in mystery. Regardless of his constant objections, there is no documented proof that a bloodline called "nosferatutu" has ever existed. However controversial this topic might be, even more controversial is the fact that he is indeed a vampire-imp, which is also not supposed to exist.

Perhaps more mysterious is his love of anti-social mischief and destructive antics. Norman seems to relish in the destruction of anything, including a vampire's happiness. From petty theft to all-out war, Norman seems to rejoice in any anarchistic activity—especially those he instigates—so that he may enjoy his one other great joy: claiming responsibility for his antics.

 Phyllis Witblood

Species: Vampire
Bloodline: Gayal
Association: Vampiric Scream News, Journalist / Columnist
First Appeared: Vampiric Scream, August 2012

Overview:
For many years the Vampiric Scream News was run by a team of anonymous columnists (the Scream Team) who wrote bad jokes and worse stories. The responsibility of this was solely that of the archaic VSN Editors—a tired group of ancient and reserved men—who cared nothing for what the Darkside actually wanted to read.

Eventually the Scream Team went on permanent strike, leaving the Editors forced to replace them with their own content. The resulting columns were so horrifying that the renowned roving journalist Phyllis Witblood offered to take their place. After a disagreement on her first article, Phyllis slew the Editors in the VSN offices and recruited new blood to take their place, on the condition that she have full rights to publish anything she wished in her new replacement column "The Reportacolypse".

Phyllis entertained the Darkside with her glib-but-entertaining Gonzo-style columns on unlife as a Darksider. Her topics ranged from personal interviews to the latest fashion, all dashed with her own acute narcissism. Then, as quickly as her flame was lit, it ultimately blew out when she silently disappeared. Her current whereabouts remain an unsolvable intrigue.

 Ra

Species: Deity
Association: Human Realm, Egypt, Solar Deity
First Appeared: Fear the Light

Overview:
Ra is the ancient Egyptian solar deity identified primarily with the midday sun in ancient Egyptian religion. Through a secret pact with Lillith, the Great Mother of all vampire, on occasion we are allowed to walk unharmed in the sunlight.

However in 2011, for reasons unknown, Ra broke his bargain and many vampire lives were lost to the sunlight while wielding the pact. The Council immediately sanctioned a Deadfall, sending us to war. Darksiders sought to destroy the descendants of Ra in an effort force him into rekindling his arrangement with Lillith. It was a success, and Ra has yet to be heard from since.

Shadow People

Species: Shadow
Association: Darkside Realm, Original Inhabitants
First Appeared: Reign of Darkness

Overview:
The Shadow People were a race of supernatural entities birthed by the Darkside itself. How they were born and what their connection is to the Darkside itself remains unanswered. However, as the Darkside was discovered by the Trinity, Andilaveris first happened upon them and saw what no other vampire could: they were a unique and powerful source brimming with potential... a potential that he very quickly realized he could harness and control.

But a mere few of these strange beings were not enough. He would require at least half of their race for his aims... so he constructed an ornate armored ring, beset with a shapely gem which had been hollowed at its core. After immersing it in his ancient Dark Essence and pouring out the command of his will, he descended his might upon the kingdom of Shadow People, imprisoning them inside the gem where their power could be harnessed through the ring.

This very ring we now call the Talon of Andilaveris. However the remainder of the Shadow people have already risen in fury against vampirekind on at least one occasion. While they were defeated, they do still exist... hiding somewhere within the massive lands of the Darkside.

th_shaman.png  Shaman King

Species: Vampire
Bloodline: Varaco
Association: King of the West, Moon Shaman
First Appeared: Ground Wars: Unity

Overview:
The Shaman King, also known as King of the West, is the defacto leader of the Western continents, including Bane, Shade, and all surrounding islands. Known to reside somewhere near the White Eye Pools in Shade, the Shaman King is a solitary vampire who takes his direction from conferencing with the spirit of the "Moon Mother". Though he is Varaco, the King's gift over supernatural abilities outweighs his natural bloodline skills to such a degree that he far more dangerous than the common vampire.

Said to run the West with the style of a Human-realm gangster balanced with the sensibilities of a prophet, the Shaman King is highly respected among his people. He institutes control via his army of acolytes while protecting the denizens of Shade from harm. All the while, the Shaman King has devised expert systems for importing and exporting supply necessities.

Shade's rich resources have made the Shaman King the prime holder of all of the most used supplies across the realm. In turn, he has made the people of Shade rich, which softens the hard edge he's often purported to have with the people of Shade. His ultimate goals are philosophical, and can be generally surmounted to be whatever is the will of the Moon Mother.

 Tokoloshe

Species: Demon
Association: Necromancer's Companion, Apprentice
First Appeared: BloodRites

Overview:
Also known in Zulu mythology as tikoloshe or hili, a tokoloshe a mischievous and evil spirit generally called upon by malevolent people to cause trouble for others. However in the case of the Necromancer, his tokoloshe was invoked specifically for companionship. Named after his species, Tokoloshe has spent much time with the Grand Necromage, slowly earning his apprenticeship.

Tokoloshe has an amazing intellect, and while he speaks very little his understanding of other beings is exceptional, if not supernatural. Ultimately his own magical powers have helped the Necromancer understand the ways of his own, and that is likely the crux of their ever-growing friendship.

Because of his size being relational to that of Norman, some bad blood has come between the two. This is magnified by Norman's ego, and eventually the two called the Darkside to battle, where Norman's army was victorious.

Tokoloshe continues to aid the Necromancer in expanding his necromagical knowledge as well as necromagical fusions with vampire darkside-wide.

Well i would like to say that Phyllis Witblood was last seen going into the Forest of Sorrows on a tip of strange happening there. Perhaps she got lost, or maybe she being held captive, or maybe she turned into a tree hugger. My belief is she's on a juicy story on the isle of Eventide. At the notorious Eye of the Gayal.
